Richard J. Steinmetz, Jr. is a partner in The Law Offices of Baldwin, Briscoe & Steinmetz, P.C. He joined the firm in 2011. Mr. Steinmetz's practice includes civil litigation, personal injury and criminal defense. In addition, he has significant experience handling landlord-tenant, real property and business disputes. Mr. Steinmetz has handled a variety of cases before the Maryland appellate courts.
Mr. Steinmetz grew up in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. He attended
East Stroudsburg University where he earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political
Science in 1998.
After graduating from East Stroudsburg University, Mr. Steinmetz
moved to Washington D.C. He attended the Catholic University of America,
Columbus School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctorate in 2001. At Catholic
University, Mr. Steinmetz also earned a certificate in Law and Public Policy. Mr. Steinmetz was previously an associate attorney with Andrews, Bongar, Gormley & Clagett, P.A.
In Washington D.C., he gained experience working as a law clerk
for the Republican National Committee, the National Association of HomeBuilders
and the Law Offices of Patrick G. Senftle, P.C.
Mr. Steinmetz currently resides in La Plata, Maryland with his
wife, Susan and his two daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family,
traveling, reading, and running marathons and half marathons.
